        2027 will probably also be bleak, if just for the backlog.

        However, I’m pretty sure there’s also a lot of FUD in the current projections since hardware companies want their customers to believe that now is the best time to sign those expensive long-term contracts

      I built my first real desktop in ~2016. Upgraded the GPU about a year later. In 2020, that PC got mostly gutted and turned into my server / HTPC. That server is going strong to this day, but one of the hard drives is starting to make noises…
