They are very vocal about their anti AI opinions so i somewhat doubt it.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Bitwarden Switches to Commercial LicenseEnglish
81·11 days agoWhy is it that every time i comment about keepass, its because some web based password manager once again broke, got hacked, or stopped development. Keepass users just stay winning :)
Also i have been using keepass with TOTP 2FA for years what are you on about?
Also also, you shouldnt use fido passkeys. Its a failed technology that is worse than what it tries to replace.

3·12 days agoI dont think there is. Keepass is trying to be as offline as possible. Just makes for a piece of software with much less attack surface.

181·12 days agoIdk how it compares feature wise, but i have been running keepassxc/keepassdx combined with syncthing (or any file synchronization/cloud system) for many years without issues. The entire password manager database sits in one encrypted .kdbx file that you keep synced between your devices. Syncthing is nice because its p2p, so no self-/hosting required.

Technology@beehaw.org•At colleges, the AI boom means everyone wants to dabble in computer science
1·3 months agoIts about generalization. A robot like this only works in a very controlled environment. Any unforeseen variable will completely stop it in its tracks. To be able to do a trade job it would need to be much more flexible. Good luck building a single machine that can work outdoors, in heat, in snow, in rain, in mud, in a sewer, in a narrow cable or pipe shaft, buy material, analyze problems, drive to its work site, verify results, deal with customers, etc. One human can do all those things and much cheaper and more reliably than any robot or swarm of robots ever could. The real world is messy and complex, not a show room prepped to only include problems the machine can solve.

161·3 months agoLiterally my colleague thinking he is safe because he studied the field that tries to make him obsolote. Lmao buddy you are so fucked. Learn something practical. AI wont be laying cables and pipes any time soon.
That is a valid possibilty true.
Ah yes the preventable or malicious actions of humans are totally equatable with literal wild animals existing in their habitat. Those things you list happen while people go about their normal every day lives, you cant avoid them as long as you want to participate in society. To get killed by a bear in this forest you need to actively decide to go there and disregard the warnings. If you die there you are 100% responsible for your own death and maybe even that of the bear that may need to be put down because of your idiotic intrusion into its territory.
Sad (because realistically she is dead) but not really creepy. If you dont wanna get nom nommed by a bear then maybe dont go to a forest that says “DANGER Bear in Area”.

homeassistant@lemmy.world•Pine64 has started shipping their smart speaker!English
14·3 months agoSure, but they wouldnt exist without that. Making micro batches of specialized hardware is not profitable at all. Offering a real warranty would immediately bankrupt them. If they sold more than a few thousand devices per model then i would care, but meanwhile big manufacturers get away with so much worse.

414·1 year agoThis… makes no sense to me. Almost by definition, an AI vendor will have a datacenter full of compute capacity.
Well it doesnt fucking matter what “makes sense to you” because it is working…
Its being deployed by people who had their sites DDoS’d to shit by crawlers and they are very happy with the results so what even is the point of trying to argue here?

Lmao, why do people keep insisting it has 100% parity when it obviously doesnt. It might actually be usable and i wish a thousand deaths upon adobe, but claiming that its a drop in replacement is just a lie.
