all “current” features. further down its asked about the future and they arent always clear but the fo state there wont be feature parity moving forward
its a bad question. its a case by case thing. you can ask “does baldur’s gate 3 use less ram on linux” and even that, to what extent? what causes the less usage? is it enough to drop a ram stick?

since readarr is dead, i have been using bindery https://github.com/vavallee/bindery

because sometimes i need a vm (home assisstant has more features thsn home assisstant container), sometimes a container (i mostly use lxc).
its not really an extra lauer because proxmox is an os.you use nixos i use proxmox. everything is out of the box. proxmox has comminntiu scripts to run everything and set them up. there is an i stall script for about everything https://community-scripts.org/
sure podman has similar setup but i also need vms and they are all mamaged in one place
EDIT: you can read the script, its text

i am unaware a reward was available here. i just saw ny downvotes. i was just saying, someone found a bug and it was patched. thats what i got from the article

amcrest. i got it working with home assisstant
i am not sure what “stand alone” means but unifi protect is self hosted. amcrest can tie i to home assisstant

honestly, if it wasnt for lemmy i would have no idea the guy was racist. i just hear “ruby on rails creator has new distro thats easy to use”.
yes, fedora gets kernel updates very close to their release. debian waits a bit.
so arch is bleeding edge (rolling release) which is so new, it can cause instability.
fedora waits a minute to make sure the release doesnt blow anything up
debian waits fir it tk be out in the field before it updates.
fedora has always been my goldilocks os

your controller is awesome but i am very excited to find out about endless sky

I promise you that’s not a thing. Microsoft stopped caring about windows. Until very recently it was mostly abandoned and used as a test bed. Focus is always on azure.
first, ypu seemed to focus on media streaming in your post. to adress tgat one point, i have an entire family watching on phones and tvs (mostly tvs). i have jellyseer setup so they can even request.
BUT… that’s only one part. i have a minipc running opnsense. i have another on running proxmox. on that proxmox,
i also have a ugreen box running truenas
today on this community, i learned about searxng , which i will setup very soon

are you a real person?

if you buy a nas and some hardrives, the nas os usually has an app repository, so you fibd immich and click install. that will be the easy , non-technical way to do it

the nas just has a button like ibterface. its like installing a game from steam

The true plug-and-play user friendly way is to buy a NAS device and install all apps there.
i think this space will actually get bigger because of everything going on. these nas devices will ve the way to go for your average user.
------- what i did, if you are curious ------
i have everything running on proxmox. mostly as lxcs. there are proxmox helper scripts so it installs nice. i use proxmox for a lot of services so ut all wotks. also, for hardware rendering , intel cpus work better because of intel qsv.
i bought a ugreen nas device. bought an nvme. installed truenas on the nvme, because i like it and its open source. tge ugreen device has a built in boot drive with ugreen os which you can not download so i did not want to overwrite it.
now i have 27 years professionally as a software dev, so i had a foundation to learn this stuff. i want to give a heads up if you use an llm for learning. always ask it to explain and question things. look up any new terms. because of my experience, i understood most of the answers it gave and questioned when i didnt. i remember one time it said to do one thing (i dont remember) and i asked for more info. when i understood i knew it was missing something. i said “but i have x, y, and z” which in alm fairness i never mentioned and it did change the answer. my long-windwd point? dont run anything, unless you fully understand why. this advice goes for anyone not just using ai. people will be wrong too. know what you are doing
so i looked into thus a bit more. the error message can be a bit generic. its a mounting issue. i am unfamiliar with bazzite. i get the concept of immutable linux oses but most of my experience is with normal fedora or debian. – however, based on my linux experience i found some possible issues. /mnt in bazzite is a simlink /var/mnt and some libraries have issues with that. i would ask the other bazzite guy in this thread how he mounted the second drive. can you tell me what the command findmnt shows.
i THINK the fix has to do with STEAM_COMPAT_MOUNTS
