It needs to be available when the os doesn’t boot. So definitely some sort of external device.

SSH in and run top. See what it’s doing. You could compare the checksum of the binaries that are running to make sure that they’re the real binaries, if you really want to get into it.
But if I had to guess, it’s either running a backup or re-running its indexing.

Kinda same. I couldn’t get to 11 because of the lack of a TPM. Upgrading is expensive. Linux is not.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Tasks app recommendation with notifications?English
2·16 days agoThe only weird setting I had the set was the background refresh interval. Mind defaulted off, which seems dumb.
If you don’t set that, it won’t pick up new tasks that you added via the Web UI , and so you might not get notifications for those.
Once I set that I’ve been getting notifications pretty consistently. Also check that you’ve allowed notifications for that app. And the task needs to have a due date set for the notification. Not sure if it also needs a reminder. I think I just do due date.

4·17 days agoTake out the entry for service1 first to simplify the problem.
But from what I can see it looks right. Does service 2 have a self signed ssl certificate? If yes you’ll need a TLS setting in that caddy block to ignore validation.

2·24 days agoMy thoughts on open source software missing features is, and always has been: it’s free and the source is there. If you don’t like it fix it.
If you want customization, just rebuild the binaries with the images you want. You don’t even need to write code.

That’s neat. But it’s keyboard only, no video? So not great for troubleshooting boot issues, but great for expected password prompts?
