I’d do that if all my illustrator money wasn’t going on rent and if I wasn’t renting.

I’d do that if all my illustrator money wasn’t going on rent and if I wasn’t renting.
I imagine most Linux communities have half a dozen or so online users, at any given time, just refreshing the New Posts section waiting to fix someone’s problem and blow their mind.

This smells like a “We have AI for that now” decision from way up top. The kind of level that is so high it has absolutely no idea about how any of it works, but thinks in gains.

Genuinely a great idea for renormalising that “it is not okay” to a lot of people.
Would be great as a last minute achievement in GTA6 if the devs had time, but I’m sure it’d be spun as a “this is why we need them; to stop GTA-like crime in 'Murica” argument.

It’ll happen when it happens and no hype, guess, or assumption will change that.
Go have some fun playing games and one day, it’ll be there

“Back in my day we had better tech for less.”
“Whooooah! Tell us more about past times, grand papa! What was a terabyte like? Did you have your own console too?”
“Why, yes. In our living rooms. I actually had two, but many people had more.”
“Whoooooah!”

Kind of a feature these days. Shit amp distribution. They just cook a pin and woof! Plenty of tests showing it and plenty of dead 5090s every other day.
Not a smart card to buy unless you triple check connections and aren’t gonna touch it. But even then, too risky for me. Especially at the ludicrous price.

I envy that you get a Linux-basrd laptop for work.
Opening up my W11 one is dread. Once it finally sorts itself out, it’s latest thing is just hanging 365 applications for 3 mins for no reason, then resuming. It also decided to stop copying to clipboard yesterday which was resolved by rebooting, which of course took 15 mins due to Windows updates…
It’s a decent 2025 laptop, but it’s like warming up an old car before driving it through wet cement.

I have absolutely no faith or reason to believe that this is something Microsoft can do.
2027 is more likely, with a plethora of fuck ups and destruction along the way. Whats most likely is they just don’t and instead do something that, in a way, “fakes it” by ripping resources from things or has the CPU fan spinning loudly.
Windows, in its current state, is a monster compiled of decades of shit and band-aids.

I wish I could make shit games and earn millions.
Mine is like 3 years out of date to prod.
Nup. No taksies-backsies.
I’ll take the opportunity to manipulate a slight misunderstanding in your words to drive home my point on an inconsequential post on the internet, to hide my insecurities, and project out on them, of not getting laid no matter what keyboard I have. It is the Lemmy user way 🙏
Also, do you remember the model of the keyboard you had when you got laid? Asking for a friend.
See?!
There’s no way he’d get laid with a keyboard like that.
That sounds very Mozilla.
Actually, it’d be more Mozilla if it happened again next month.

I haven’t played Odyssey but I don’t know why it would be any different to the combat style of the other five or so I’ve played, which has always been the same.
The next AC, I’m sure, will continue to just be a reskin of the combat of the first. It’s always the same mechanics, buttons, and even animations despite all these years and titles now…
But, put it out there, you might enjoy the Kingdom Come Deliverence games if you want satisfying combos and combat mastery in a sandbox adventure game.

It’s in a very good state and is a solid release.
However, I’m not sure how someone is expected to play it when GTA6 is out. It’s still attached to the same old AC flow where it’s technically sandbox, but not really, and the game is stitched together by collection checklists and oversaturated by combat opportunities.
Even as DLC brings expansion content, unless they make AC feel less like an arcade game and add more purpose to it, I’m afraid it’s wishful thinking from Ubisoft.
I’d recommend you get and finish Blackflag now so GTA doesn’t steal you from it before you’re finished. It’s almost worth the price.
Dave. We ate too many shrooms, you look like a cat. And I got you into Linux, remember? Your fringe looks annoying as hell to live with. I’m gonna get a beer… DAVE! COME LOOK AT THE CARPET!..Look, it’s like symmetrical craters…Now you look like a baseball team’s mascot.

Worth checking bottleneck calculators whenever doing upgrade of CPU or GPU. Apart from that, nothing huge going on. Maybe confirming your PSU has the required wattage and plugs too if it’s a significant GPU upgrade.
Also I tend to skip a Gen or two. Bang for buck, I imagine not seeing much difference in a 20xx to 30xx and would just keep saving to 40xx.
Exactly this. It’s hard enough maintaining my own code. It can take a good 15 mins or so to familiarise myself with something I haven’t worked on in a short while. Seeing code that isn’t mine is very challenging. Not the code itself, but the methods and structures used by the other person. All that has to be done before hunting bugs and adjusting features. Then of course there’s the things you don’t know about that can be easily missed.
An AI would need to thoroughly know the code and detailed context on the decisions behind it all, every session, in order to be able to maintain it with vibe, because the vibe coder won’t know any of this.
