1·3 days agoSo AI? I will not be touching that.
Also, I download music to have high quality files that I transcode for other stuff. Youtube is far from a high quality source.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•My *arrstack is setup properly but downloading is not workingEnglish
1·4 days agoWhy is it faster? Where does it download from? Also did you make it or did AI “make” it?
Personally, I just use Soulseek for music. You can integrate it into the arr stack, but I don’t mind handling music manually.

1·4 days agoBtw, Sonarr was recently updated and you can now create a Releases profile that automatically blocks malicious torrents! The whole process of setting up the arr stack can be a bit much at first, but once you get it going it’s super satisfying to see everything working :)

3·6 days agoLooks more like the Aperture logo with a malformed triangle on top. Not sure where you get anus from, maybe a bot’s anus could look like that? xd

1·6 days agoKinda pointless to conpare power draw without saying what hw you’re running. There’s a big difference between a system with 1 ssd nad another one with 12 hdds.

1·6 days agoThey might be, but they still block the download of the actual episode or movie you were trying to get :)

1·8 days agoGlad to hear it! I’d also recommend using a blacklist file to filter out file formats that you know shouldn’t be there if you’re downloading movies/tv shows. In public trackers it sometimes happens that there are malicious and have a .exe virus with the name of the movie lr latest episode. Using a blacklist you’re able to easily filter that out.

1·10 days agoWell, no. If they do because I’m looking for something more obscure, cleanuparr removes the dead torrent on its own. Check your indexers in prowlarr. You probably need to add some more to get decent results that have more seeds.

5·10 days agoIf your downloads are getting stuck then no, it’s not set up properly. Double check your filters and custom format rules. Also, you can use Cleanuparr to automatically remove stalled downloads and trigger a new search.

2·27 days agoWell, if you’re storing data you care about on your server you kind of need to have redundancy. The best filesystem for that (imo) is ZFS so yes, you should use that (or something similar). Apparently you do use a “scalable storage solution” but you also seem fond of mystery.
If one of the raidz drives is removed from the array, and you’re not encrypting your datasets, someone could recover data from the drive.
The solution is in the question. Just encrypt the dataset.

2·27 days agoIf you’re using a raidz array (which you should) the data would be irrecoverable anyways when you dispose of a single drive, wouldn’t it? Also, why would you throw away a server drive that still works?

1·2 months agoRegardless of cost, not even the mightiest gpu can play a 1440p game with path tracing for example at high refresh rates, without dlss. So no, the cost isn’t the only issue.
This is a minor cosmetic feature used to entice fools to depart with their money.

1·3 months agoMy thought was that (maybe) the server (aka fathom in this case) could be the one that has the active youtube session so that it fetches the stream and then uploads it to the client. Acting like a proxy of sorts. To youtube, the user is always where the server is, but you can move around freely without issues.

2·3 months agoYeah except that YouTube support told me that they can detect if you’re using a vpn or no. At least in my case, using ProtonVPN that seems to be the case because when I try to subscribe to premium, it says that they can’t verify my country.
Dang :(
