Haha besides the classic ‘what if…?’ that was my thought as well! :)

Yeah I originally got one when I moved out of my parents since I was living on my own. Big fan of the reusable pods that I can fill myself! Cleaning is a minor chore but worth it, imo. Never had one die of natural causes yet, but from the research I did on eBay, boards are pretty cheap and they’re fairly simple machines to teardown. This mixed with my new-found knowledge of the software makes me (perhaps naively) think I can keep mine running for a while (provided I don’t hold the soldering iron in one place too long :P)

Personally, I ‘stage’ my machine the night before (I use one of the re-usable pods): pod in, lid closed, mug placed. Then, when I wake up/presence is detected in the kitchen, the machine ‘wakes up’, sets the brewer settings, and brews automatically.

It’s stupid, but it’s new and cool for me right now lol
