Oh no, you!

I have one at the head office. I love how it’s adjustable, so I can stand up when I’ve been sitting for too long.
Plus when I’m doing something that involves more than just keyboard and mouse (sych as plugging electronics and hardware around me) it’s very convenient to be already standing.

8·2 months agoAnd make an effort towards l8nux compatibility. Steams market dominance is strengthened via its proton layer and OS agnostic launcher. GoG Galaxy is windows only, and even titles with a linux build can’t be run unless you use a windows compatibility layer for Galaxy.
Yes, I know it’s possible, but that requires more hacking than what the average person is willing to go through when they can just install steam instead.

PC Master Race@lemmy.world•Former Dragon Age producer says devs shouldn't use player feedback as design blueprintEnglish
4·3 months agoI tend to agree to a certain extent. Art by committee rarely works, and devs should first and foremost build the game they envision.
Listening to feedback is useful as long as it doesn’t result in a watered down result that detracts from the original intent.
Recently started a new Minecraft server for the household to play on. I haven’t played it in many years, and there’s so much new stuff!
Same here, except on servers, where I prefer debian.
Because I’m old and tired, and I just want to install and be up and running in as short of a time as possible without dicking around.
Free except from the drive to get there. But the drive is a lot cheaper than those racks would cost.
Vent fans at the top and the bottom. But it can be next to my work desk without the hardware getting annoying.
Not working on anything particular, but I’m going on a road trip on Tuesday to this regional airport that is giving away two racks perfect for my use case. Deep enough for my larger machines, sound proofed and 42U tall.
Finally my hardware can have a proper rack instead of being in a stack/pile in this harrypotteresque locker under my stairs.
Not much these days. While it used to be “everything”, now it’s:
- Http/https
- dns
- Wireguard
- Minecraft
- beegfs
Ah, the days when it was still known as Windows Whistler, until someone leaked how it looked and everyone started calling it Teletubby Windows instead

5·4 months agoNo regrets since buying my Lenovo Legion little over a year ago. Mint ran fine out of the box, and I use it for everything, gaming included.

That too, yes. General game server for a few games I play with friends, plus some datacrunching from time to time.
