It still doesn’t matter for the Steam client. All it does is point to games and tell them to boot. The client itself doesn’t act as a compatibility layer so the 32-bit vs 64-bit game argument isn’t relevant

There’s also XMPP as an alternative. And Fluxer.
Matrix, XMPP, and (now) Fluxer all have federation between servers, though they all use different protocols. I know there’s a bridge between Matrix and XMPP too

Discord is rolling out global…
Goddamnit, what bullshit are they doing now?!?!
shortcut support (e.g. Push to Talk) on Wayland for Linux users
Oh… Well we got good news for once

Counterpoint: EGS uses that to justify claims of market share to investors, who in turn help keep EGS alive

You’re better off pirating it imo

If Tim Swiney wasn’t so fucking dumb I’d have sworn it was a joke

but not actively destroying itself either
Well, the mass email with Nazi symbols didn’t help them

I hope Epic goes bankrupt before this is complete. We don’t need dumbass CEO’s trying to force kernel anti-cheat into Linux

Nah, let them suffer with Microslop until they get some self respect and better taste

A quote from Tim Swiney in the announcement is that “it’ll have advanced features like a shopping cart”.
No, I’m not kidding. He really fucking said that

Some people don’t make the switch to Linux at all because they can’t play games with kernel-level anticheat.
Then they should suffer with Microslop until they get some self-esteem and better taste in games

…it’s supposed to be a bad (sarcastic) argument
Sure it is. It’s totally not a Schrödinger’s Asshole /s
Also, I asked OP a question, not you.

Why should you go on trips and see the sights of other places, Google Street View is right there.
This is a terrible argument because it’s the exact opposite of what you’re trying to push. OP’s spending all this time trying to optimize a garage door opener and it’s not working, while they could have just gotten a basic button set up in 5 minutes and be done with it, giving them more time to do something they actually enjoy.
Home automation is supposed to save you time and make your life easier. Spending a bunch of time programming your house to greet you so you can cosplay as Tony Stark isn’t that.
Maybe you don’t care and you find enjoyment in the tinkering on it’s own. That’s valid, but don’t get all defensive when other people don’t value the same things.
OP is getting frustrated about an issue they’re having with home automation that’s easily bypassed with less tech. If they want to keep tinkering that’s their right. But maybe they were considering cutting their losses already and wanted validation. Maybe they got caught up with automating everything that they never considered not automating everything. I don’t know, I’m not psychic. But they can step back and make a conscious decision as to whether they keep going

I get this is the HA community, but how is fumbling with a smartphone in your car more convenient than dedicated button built/clipped to your car’s sun visor?

Apparently they used to have a function for that, but the reversed order indexing borked it up

There’s also an install script for pure MO2. Will edit soon to include links
EDIT: Sauce, as promised. Also I followed this guide to walk through the process.
Also, there’s another installer that’s been archived and replaced with Fluorine, a full Linux port of MO2, but it uses LLM’s (like Amethyst does)
Hope this helps

The author confirmed they use LLMs for coding on the Nexus page for the tool
The Steam client didn’t work as a compatibility layer though. It doesn’t really involve the client. Proton is the compatibility layer and it’s capable to dealing with the emulation
