Linux Gaming@lemmy.world•My experience with Palworld, and what I think could improveEnglish
3·2 months agoI’m not OP but have 300 hours in Palworld: yes. While raids are kind of rare anyway (from my and my wife’s experience), they do scale based on the continent your base is on, but you can totally beef up your pals to make them fully defensible against raids. There are buildables in the tech tree for defenses like walls and turrets.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Self-hosting in 2026 isn't about privacy anymore - it's about building resistance infrastructureEnglish
3·9 months agoI agree with your post 100% I think. Removing oneself from big tech/data services like Google and Microsoft is resisting the regime. It’s especially useful for folks that may not be able to get out and protest, meet with their representatives, etc.
As for me, I’m running my *arr/media stack for myself and my close friends and family. Fuck Disney, Netflix, and Paramount. For our household, HomeAssistant keeps the lights on and SyncThing backs up our files to the NAS.

Thanks for the reply. I believe I have permissions set correctly, as qbit was the first thing I set up and had to fiddle with permissions under the
/srv/data/torrentsfolder to test if downloads worked.I understood “remote path mapping” to also include filesystems on other machines, even if it’s a LAN connection. Maybe that’s true? because I simple changed the Remote Path mapping in radarr from
/srv/data/torrentsto just/data/torrents, and the movie I had sitting in the queue (which successfully downloaded from radarr to qbit, just didn’t move from qbit to media) moved to my media folder upon restarting radarr.I knew it had to be simple. Thank you, and I hope you have a great week!
