Maybe the people asking for your projects and the ones slamming them for you using AI in any capacity are different people.
I for one think AI is a tool and if you’re competent or it’s for one-off tasks, you can use it. It’s the agentic vibecoding by complete non-IT people (or techbros, or absolute beginners) that grinds my gears.

Imagine all the video streaming and storage infrastructure which can be rented to AI Bros instead. Imagine all the CSAM and copyright infringing material Grok and Co. can generate with all these free resources!
This is a “smart” business decision and that’s why capitalism is bad.

101·2 months agoNot quite an asshole. Competence only looks like arrogance from below. He’s actually quite nice and friendly in person. He just has a no bullshit attitude, which is especially jarring for Americans, who always wrap their criticism in several layers of glazing.

And to top it all off, he even used it in an ethical and license compliant way. He didn’t generate code. He understood every character. He even fixed a bug instead of introducing new error prone code.
That guy is a God and I wish him a long and prosperous life 🖖

Yeah, but that’s an easy one to parse, if you really need it.
I’m pretty sure if you use OnCalendar it will still be there after a reboot. Let me check.
EDIT: oh damn!! It doesn’t persist on reboots. Sorry for this oversight.

1·2 months agoIf you inspect the generated timer you see the same format in the OnCalendar line.
What do you mean by persisted? The service and timer will both be there as long as the timer doesn’t end. Which it won’t in my example.
If you want to copy it for later reference, you can simply copy the files.
You mean things that already exist, like https://shodan.io/?
