Just want to give an alternative to Docker here: Yunohost. It’s very easy to setup and use, and while it doesn’t have the infinite number of “apps” that Docker makes available, it has served me very well. The project is also based in Europe :)

Yeah I loved popcorn time. I’m looking into Stremio, and I’m already down a rabbit-hole of add-ons, debrid providers, and reading between the lines. Doesn’t seem like anything I can recommend to nontechnical folks.

I’m stoked on my Jellyfin setup, but I’ll check on Stremio again in case I want to recommend it to anyone. Never heard of Nuvio, but at a glance it seems like you have to connect it to a media library.
How do you restore on day 11, 12 or 13 if you only keep 10 days?

I disagree. I have some private trackers, but I never use 'em anymore, mostly due to ratio requirements. I just don’t have the space on my local drive to hold and seed all those files forever. Spending a bit of time on your initial *arr configs, means everything just works, even using all public trackers. I can’t remember the last time my system grabbed a wrong/bad file. Been dialed in for years at this point.
Backups are pretty much the only thing I get notifications for. Otherwise, one app or another on my phone will complain if it loses connection to my server.

I also provide this type of thing for friends and family for free (because I love them), and because payment would make me feel obligated beyond what I feel like doing. It sounds like you’ve made them aware, which is good. I also tell my friends that I can see what they watch, but that I don’t. You do you, but your meme suggested something unhealthy to me.

Don’t spy on your users. Sure, you’ll happen to see something once in awhile or when troubleshooting, but don’t go looking. It’s bad for you and for them.

Ahh, OK I see. I don’t know why I didn’t realize that before.

Do your apps complain about SSL certs?
I had some issues with config changes, but it’s working now :)

Running server backs up to two local disks which can each hold 2 days at a time, but they both hold the same 2 days. Every night the most recent backup is uploaded offsite (friend’s house) where is stored versions in a normal scheme.
Ah alright. Pretty sure I get it now. Thank you for explaining!
So… huh? What role does this play, since all the lines in the picture have $1? If you run it with arg1, won’t it run them all? And if you left out arg1 and also didn’t add $1 to each line, wouldn’t it also just run all of them?
I don’t get it. Looks like a script that runs all these things, but I don’t get the one dollar.

I can’t find anything about penalties, so I’m assuming this is about as legally enforceable as the “flag code”.

Nah. There’s no special law for veterans against wearing camo. Ever been to a milsurp store?

He’s a veteran, AFAIK. Not that there’s any “valor” to steal.
Yunohost is installed on top of Debian with some scripts. Afterwards, you have a web interface where you install “apps” through their “store” (nothing costs money, they just have to be packaged in a compatible way). All the nginx config is handled for you.
