Yeah for sure. The last one I saw was a farm that at some point was overtaken by city sprawl, to stay afloat they made like a kids school, do like nature stuff and maple syrup operations and charge people to walk through there. They had a bobcat, some raptors and all sorts of stuff in these maybe 50x100 ft fenced in areas, with an out of sight place to retreat to, but still. Being alone, all day every day, is an ill fate.

They are all now shit if you don’t pay for it. Pof, okcupid, they are garbage. They used to work while silicon valley was still in it’s growth phase, hen enshitified when they entered the maximizing revenue phase, which started perhaps a bit earlier with dating sites than other sectors like search engines.

Living as a pet is often a better life than some of these sancturies for the animals unfit to be released from some of the sanctuaries I’ve seen, fenced in a small area with no company and people gawking at them.

That is so cool, they are very reclusive in my experience. I’ve only seen a few.

I’ve seen videos of people that adopted like orphans, and they were just like dogs, except they make goofier noises perhaps.

They have fucking hawks that pick up fire brands, and drop them on other unburned areas. The continent is just hardcore in their animal life. A type of nettle, gimpy gimpy is it, that can kill you. Private insurance does not cover floods. The feds underwrite flood insurance, and it is bought separately, as I understand it.

I think some insurance will mandate you get flood insurance from the feds if you are in a zone that floods every so many years. But that would vary state to state.
