Calling decompilation the “end of closed-source” is way too hyperbolic.

3·2 months agoDespite what the internet militants tell you, it’s not all or nothing. If every person skipped meat just once a month the impact on global warming would be measurable.

2·2 months agoNo, there is an incredibly large cohort of meat eaters that come up with creative ways to justify their behavior to themselves. In this case the argument (which I’ve heard hundreds of times) is that if you eat so much more plant matter in order to meet your nutrition needs (i.e. a lot of beans and soy) you are going to eat way more peaticides simply because of the increased volume of consumption.
Such people have never thought even once about what food their meat eats.

An example of whataboutism: you complain about environmental destruction but you are using a computer and talking to us through a data center.

9·3 months agoSure but that’s an active choice to go with a fiddly distro. Thats like putting hot sauce on your own food and telling the chef it’s too spicy.
What are you even talking about? What does this have to do with installations on Linux? Or are you just riffing off of their belligerent unhinged replies as a bit?
lmao yep, you’re definitely not being extremely belligerent over nothing just like I was talking about. 👍
I’m speaking from personal experience. What you and I want and actual reality are two different things. Your belligerent complaining is exactly what I was talking about, and it took less than half an hour for it to happen.
Installing and running programs is wildly more complicated on Linux than macOS. On macOS there is only one way to do it: a self contained .app bundle. On Linux there are….several incompatible standards. And if you do it a different way than a specific Linux user’s preference, they will loudly complain and tell you that you’re doing it wrong. Even if it works.
