Yes it is slop but SI have not needed to sign in to either of those places. It just doesn’t connect to Bluetooth.

Yeah it’s definitely all AI developed. I don’t understand why the browser can’t get Bluetooth data. But it seems like the dumbest idea to develop a full mobile app and then find out it doesn’t work on Android.

7·7 days agoThey need solar on the lines to every rollercoaster. Including the one that kills people lol… Not lol. I rode the X2 and its fine. But people who are susceptible to high Gs should not ride it.

61·10 days agoNow I can just go to Chad Geepitee and ask him… Hey I want to draw my house like this, here are some photos of my house.
I’ll probably get some random shit and it’ll look great! In turn Amazon learns what stuff I don’t have so they can sell it to me.
I see some capacitors that will eventually fail.

2·21 days agoHousing as an investment is a problem. But so is having kids. Each kid needs a house until we die. So at least one extra house. When we die they get the other but then they’ll have the same problem… Kids… And where to house them.

91·21 days agoPeople love them??!!! WTF! When I was a kid in rural South America we would pitty people who’s house was not solid brick and had side walk. “Hay pobrecitos”.
That frame of mind as my “shades” that I see the world thru tell me that this is wrong. Micro houses should be for anyone who really truly wants one… For people in the middle of nowhere that need some sleep tonight. For the homeless who lost a job or got an expensive disease. ETC. Not for regular people in the city with good jobs.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Can you run multiple servers on one machine (e.g. Raspberry Pi)?English
1·22 days agoDon’t waste your time and money on a pi for this. He a cheap mini PC. Like the types that go in the back of the secretary monitor at your dentist office. That pike of junk I’d usually much better than a pi. It even has a box and room for a hard drive.
What part is the front part?

Simplex chat service anyone?
Its not that superintelligence exists but that humans will sede their intelligence to what appears to be more intelligent. Thus we will just let the machines do their thing without thinking about the consequences.

And
Nah, man. The answer is kids don’t need to be on the internet. They need to not be on the internet or on a data plan until they go to college and they gotta pay for that service.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Is there a self-hosted Family Link server?English
4·27 days agoIt’s basically Google sticking its long long schlong between you and your kids.
Imagine you trying to open the door to your house and a Google rep shows up, asks you for a password and opens the door only when you have given it your password.
Imagine that same scenario when you try to do anything at home… Looking for underwater? Password please! Start you car? Nope, unless you got password. C’mon satisfy lord Google’s requirements!
So you want your kids to go on your phone that you purchased? First you need internet or this retarded process doesn’t work. Mmkay! You got Internet, now install a spy app on both phones and you’re good! Now just be sure you’re online and then give us the password, we’ll unlock your kids’ phone for the given amount of time.
And that’s what family link is. It’s a stupid excuse by Google to have their spying app installed on your phone.

I want to see if I can get the data off my sensor somehow differently. Incyclist is an app that does that but the data stays in my phone. I want to store it/see it on the server.
