It did but the major issue on 6000 series is the poor job the OEMs did with the cold plate design. My 6800 XT was able to hit 110C TJmax at 312W by default but by modding the plate on the same cooler I got it down to 90C at 400W. (100% RPM in all examples)

Meanwhile my 9070 XT at 374W rarely goes over 70C at around 50%RPM and at 100% it sits in mid 50C range (very, very loud at that stage though)

It’s fine if you buy it because you know what you need and know that you’re paying more because of X. I’m talking about people that buy it just because it’s NVIDIA with no thought for anything else.
