Okay… What’s the crime? Sure there is a sign at the bottom that says 3x15, but is that a legally enforceable statute?

Then it’s a bad one.
There is no joke of a bunch of hand baskets

$12K per person?
$500 per violation?
Those are absolutely deterrent numbers!
How much do you think they make with each violation?
These are online advertising numbers were talking about here. They probably don’t make even an extra $5 for each violation.
Not too long ago Proton calculated how much Google makes from various users. (Sure, Proton has a bias here to inflate the numbers. But that just means they’d be lower if anything. It’s just illustrative of the ball park, since we’re talking about Meta, not Google.) US users were worth $1600 per year on average. So yah $12000 per user is massive; Absolutely a deterrent.

I didn’t mean to imply this amount would be applied nationally. I merely wanted to put it in perspective. It’s not small amount relative to the number people it represents.

no living creature can abide […] corporations are people

This is just New Mexico
It would be nearly $12K per person.
That rate nationally, would be $3.8T!

Gotta have money to loose money

Tiny homes are soooo stupid
“Let’s take all the worst parts of appartments and suberbs, and put them together! It’ll be adorable!”
This is the thinking that got us pugs people. Pugs!
It’s not a good impulse.

You want to redistribute wealth?
You need a wealth tax

Please…
We can’t hold any corpos criminally accountable when any company or product ever does anything harmful. AI is no special case here.

I’m supposed to rent a car with Avis next week…

Implicit in this prediction, is the assumption that AI data-center demand will continue that long.

That’s my dude

I enjoy YouTube Premium being ad free.
I use YouTube Music for discovery. I hear about someone, I can immediately listen to everything they’ve ever done; Then decide if I want to buy it, pirate it, or never hear it again.

Spider-Dude would wear a sweater and sandals over his suit
We need Spider-Dude

I appreciate my Google Play Music All Access introductory subscription more and more every year. Still $7.99

Why is it “a man dressed as spider man” and not just “Spider-Man”?
Pinch to zoom on my phone
