That’s it, I’m learning Norwegian!
Do you think they’d need some software architect who loves solitude and nature?

I really should learn Norwegian. As a German I know half your words anyway. Why am I trying to learn Italian? It’s way too hot there!

What has been maxxing for me is reviews. And if you send me one PR with 20,000 lines of code changed, I will tell you to get fucked and break it up.
I’m so glad my position allows me to do that 😂

That’s why the CEO AI replacement sticks to cheaper models. Because they don’t need the costly “reasoning” anyway.

Colleagues in my last company are measured by their token consumption. Not how little they use, but if they use up all their budget in a month. If not, they’re obviously bad for whatever they’re measuring.
I was a software tester ages ago and I was measured by the amount of bugs I found. Didn’t matter if it was a typo or some complicated crash that only occurred when all the stars aligned. I thought it was peak idiocy back then. But this new thinking beats that by far.
The kernel is really anxious though, panics all the time.

Thank god, I really feared having to watch it several times in a row.

If it runs windows it can be understandable to throw stuff at it in disgust.

Just feed it to an AI, that makes it OK. I think having a local speech model on your phone in the same room with you while watching should be sufficient.

But Australia would be even worse!
Have you seen Australians?

OctoPrint (3d printer)

Oh, good thing you wrote this. I’m about to give one of my printers away and there’s still a pi inside

I don’t even bother to track my home setup
I host home assistant and if anything goes down I’ll notice pretty fast.

I’d be fine if I’d be the only one on it, but that’s crucial.

They were easy to replace when the hardware was meh 🙄
But I really want to check out framework.

Yeah, but I got an M4 😭

I’d love to have Mac hardware with different Linux options (with mature power management). But I guess before that will happen, other CPU manufacturers might catch up. Fine by me as well.

I really appreciate ExpensiveBSD’s hardware. the software though… oh my. ZSH
I had nu on my Windows PC and I thought I could get away with it because I hate PowerShell so much, but then IT came and kicked it into quarantine. Now I’m zsh-ing on wsl.
Why didn’t I install nu there? Can’t remember.
Thanks 💖
I was only partly joking. I loved Norway, and I loved being there and hygge and everything. If I ever leave Germany, I’ll head north.
