If I run prism for the Java version and hook it to the tv and Bluetooth controls do you know if you can reliably play couch coop like that?
Yeah, lutris won’t use the official Minecraft launcher apparently, prism only uses Java. So essentially what I think I’d have to do is find a Windows computer launch the game with the add-on export the world, copy those files over to the bedrock server running on mint and then it would work… But I don’t have a Windows machine I can use at the moment.
This sounds so “set in stone” but the vote doesn’t occur until later this month. Do they just know how everyone is going to vote somehow? Like they saw the checks being written by the ISPs
What’s lockdown mode. I use PIA because it was cheap about 5 years ago and never had any issues so I havent shopped around. I don’t have a dedicated IP which I would have liked, they offer them but I haven’t convinced myself I need it yet. I figure if anyone else (not family) needs to access a site that points to my IP I’ll do it then.
Maybe I haven’t been understanding/using caddy and such properly, but how do you really get multiple servers running without 80/443 not having overlap. Like right now I have 53 for my Pihole internally, 8096 Jellyfin, 3923 for a file server, can’t remember what my RustDesk server is on, but I wanted to set up a Piefed instance, and obviously I’m running into issues with ports overlapping because I must not be understanding how to forward / reverse proxy them properly.
Do you set up caddy on your individual VM’s and use a separate IP for each. Can I just tie a URL from NOIP to a specific port outside of 80/443 somehow?
Do you not run into issues doing this? I’m constantly having to split my VPN or disable my VPN for certain logins to work, such as banks, government sites and shit.
My spouse usually plays from her Xbox, and if I’m around I’ll couch co-op. So that dictates it has to be Bedrock version.
Usually we can’t mod much and Xbox tries to charge for all the add-ons even if developers make them free on their websites (though I’m sure the pokemon ones aren’t licensed so that may not even be in the store.). Anyways I guess what I am looking for is maybe something like the Pokebedrock add on for bedrock.
To do so I intended to spin up a bedrock server on my Linux server. Downloaded the server from their site, spun it up - check
Now when I download Pokebedrock it doesn’t have the files in the resource folders it has them all together. So basically I am thinking I need to get bedrock running on a machine add the add-on, then export the world. Copy those files into the server, and restart the server.
Issue is the official Minecraft for bedrock won’t run in Linux. I tried installing it via Lutris using the Windows version, no luck. If I use prism to launch it it only launches Java.
Hopefully this explains better where I am running into a problem
