It is, I’ve seen it. People upload .exe files pretending to be an episode day before it’s release. Prowlarr will find those and start downloading.

Everyone says tailscale but if you don’t want to setup an account with google or Microsoft login, Netbird is the way to go.

What’s using all this power? I have PhotoPrism, *arr stack, MeTube, nginx, Jellyfin, Syncthing, Vaulvarden, mongoDB and couple of smaller things and it’s all running on a single laptop with a tiny RAID. It is all this data storage? I have <10TB so this looks like the biggest difference.

What are you running?

monit + email

Surprisingly, the answer is “it depends”.

Proxmox with VMs running Docker using Cosmos.
Pros: backups, easy VM management, easy disk management.
I remember using pine on some occasions but I mostly used mutt which was using $EDITOR to write emails. Which for me was vi.
I can’t imagine anyone doing serious work using nano but it’s totally possible the problem is with my imagination, not nano itself.

I tried hosting the bridge and it was hard to set up and unreliable. Right now I have WhatsApp installed on Graphene OS in a work profile so it doesn’t get access to all my contacts, only the ones I had to specifically add in this profile. In theory you can restrict it even more using labels but managing this was a pain in the ass.
WhatApp will still know who are you talking to and you still have to run their app somewhere so in my opinion setting up the bridge just so I don’t have their app on my phone is simply not worth the hassle.

Not really. Plenty of hardware to choose from today. Yes, it’s possible that some random RGB/cooling setup will not work with Linux but you can easily find one that will. 20 years ago it was possible that the one device with Linux drivers what too expensive or didn’t have the features you needed.

I remember when I was dualbooting Windows and Linux. The year was 2006 and many devices needed special drivers that were closed sourced and available only for Windows. Laptop cameras, WiFi, memory card readers… Linux would run on most laptops but many things still didn’t work right. Similar thing with some software. You would buy a smart watch or something and it would require running some weird Windows only app to set it up. We’re so lucky those strange times are behind us now.
Public transport etiquette is not standing in front of the door while people get out. Not hitting on every girl that sits next to you is like… basic human decency.
How did you know? Did we meet?
I would tell you what happens to those people but I don’t want to give you nightmares.
I do! I break into people’s apartments, beat them up a little bit and I say that I’ll be back in a couple of months and if I will see them using Windows I will kill them. Works like a charm.
Also, vaultwarden requires HTTPS?? Ah drat, that’s not good :/ I don’t have experience with that.
Yes, the clients work only over HTTPS. Caddy can handle that:
vaultwarden.cosmos.internal {
tls /opt/caddy/certificate.crt /opt/caddy/private.key
handle /* {
reverse_proxy http://localhost:8081/
}
}
The certs need to be generated for this specific domain:
openssl req -x509 -newkey rsa:4096 -keyout key.pem -out cert.pem -sha256 -days 36500 -nodes -subj "/C=XX/ST=StateName/L=CityName/O=CompanyName/OU=CompanySectionName/CN=cosmos.internal"
Some more details are here: https://bitwarden.com/help/certificates/ under “Using a self-signed Certificate”
How are you accessing all of it? Custom URLs? Reverse proxy?
Forgejo is for private projects only? Are you syncing them with some other git providers? If now how are you baking it up?
Vaultwarden for passwords
This one was the most tricky for me due to HTTPS but I finally got it working on desktop and android.
Where did the crunchy peanuts came from? Isn’t it the same peanuts as the creamy ones, just less blended?
Oh, sorry, I misunderstood. I haven’t check if that option is in prowlarr yet.
