You are thinking of a completely different plant called milkweed. The monarch butterflies lay their eggs on it and the caterpillars eat it as their exclusive diet, and become poisonous for it. Its not thorny at all but a broad leafed plant that flowers in the spring. Monarch butterflies can eat nectar from many kinds of flowers. It is a native plant and I have plenty of it growing.

Interestingly both these plants have very similar methods of spreading their seeds, seeds attached to silky strands that float away on the wind.

Ive been curious what the purple flowered thorned plant is, I had a few come up.

I think one of the whole reasons the mint team stick with Ubuntu is it grants them the ability to use the kernel manager which makes these things more seamless.

Last time I think it updated through the update manager. Might have reinstalled itself in that process.

I would argue a capitalist nation is any one that allows the conversion of natural resources into private (not personal) property by law, and facilitates the exploitation of those resources through a market.

It is funny to me that china can pretend not to be a capitalist nation while displaying every symptom of capitalism.
