From a legal standpoint, yes. Look at trump

It’s neither. It’s a design flaw. They’re not designed to be able to handle this type of situation correctly
You out there spreading misinformation, saying they’re a manipulation tool. No, they were never invented for this.

It doesn’t store bits of information. All it has are neurons that form a weighted network

Thinking model can realize their prediction doesn’t make sense if they really know nothing to an extent but yea, it’s not always accurate

Well, you sell what people want, even if it’s bad for them

We’re all word generators

I believe windscribe also has a nice free plan

VPN companies have a low interest in selling user data. Their business model is pretty profitable already, and any leak of this would instantly kill the brand.
There’s no reason for proton and mullvad to sell user data. They would be legally liable and they would break their profitable companies
It’s like 23andme
fucking DNA stuff that was even written in the privacy policy iirc so meh, not the same
simply selling out eventually like they all do
would love to get examples of this. I have a lot of counter examples

they’re good at protecting websites but damn, having a company being MITM feels so wrong

I assume their script does some search engine stuff like query google or bing and then “scrap” the links they go on
Some selenium stuff

They do have a point though. It would be great to let per-prompt searches go through, but not mass scrapping
I believe a lot of websites don’t want both though

I don’t like cloudflare but it’s nice that they allow people to stop AI scrapping if they want to

the devil you don’t
You’re saying the reputable company is a devil we don’t know? If you want to be dishonest, try a bit harder.
What you should say is “What’s better? The devil you know or the unknown entity that claims to be an angel (and that hasn’t been caught doing bad things since its existence, a few years)?”

is ProtonVPN a scam then? no.
Most are, but not necessarily

better than having a company that is directly known as watching you and sending all of it to your government
some companies have built a strong reputation
Or Adobe, that’s the most frequent complaint
