1·29 days agoNo-one did and you can basically establish you fully independent DNS. The DNS unter ICANN control is just the default.

1·1 month agoWhat are you using for this type of thing?
I just created a send-only mailbox in the account I already have at my hosting service and use this in all my services.
I’m not going to set up a mail server and deal with all the security issues and problems with private dial-up IP addresses myself. Been there, done that. Wasn’t fun.
It really just depends on what’s on your system.
Yes, this is what I wonder.
I use Linux since ca. 2005 and never ever had a program not working because it could not read a user’s
$HOMEcontents.
The programs usually run in user context and have access to the files.
Even if thinking very hard I cannot come up with a scenario where a program that does not run in user context needs access to user files.
700 is the only sane answer for directories inside
$HOME.
FACT
The corporation basically stole the project from the community and started hiding features behind a paywall.
It is completely irrelevant if you need the features that are closed and behind a paywall and are not part of the open core.
We should also keep in mind that Gitea was hostilely taken away from the community by a for-profit corporation that made Gitea open-core by hiding a way features behind a paywall in a cloud.
cgit always feels last century. Even with so-called “modern CSS” it’s just ancient.

So it’s open core now? As if this would be any better.
