The only notifications I use are for my cameras through frigate so I just use home assistant to send push notifications when someone walks up to my house.

You missed one

I also love the simplicity of older cars but also recognize that while newer cars are more complicated, you also don’t need to regularly pull the engines out because it needs its 30k mile rebuild.

Because there are a limited number of IPv4 addresses and bots scan them for open ports.
Maybe use ESPHome on to run the servo back and forth a few times and have an automation in Home Assistant to trigger the servo when it detects the toilet running. The hard part would probably be getting power near the toilet and connecting the servo to the handle in some fashion.
OP I think using PCPartPicker might show you tons of options for cases with 4+ drive capacity. If you want an older case just search ebay for the options you find.
You can also mount 2.5" drives into the 3.5: trays if you wanted. Ive had my R6 for years now and just bought a 2-pack of drive caddies as it filled up to the point that I now have enough to fill the whole case.
I have a Fractal Define 6 with room for (i think) 12 HDDs. They have tons of great options for HDD storage.

Especially one without a mainstream CPU that won’t have any support

Its showing $17.97 USD for me, though I have seen prices charge drastically once you actually log in.
You should really up your game and buy some ESPs and servo motors to jiggle the toilet handles when the toilets are running.

They make these to put inside your breaker box too to monitor all your circuits.

I have the same issue with a lot of my zigbee devices whether Aqara, Ikea, or others. Even a device that reads properly will stick at 100% once the battery is replaced the next time. I just wait until stuff stops working to know when to replace the battery and have a 50 pack of coin cell batteries on hand.

the AI Safety Measures Act creates a framework that will require the “developers of the largest advanced AI systems” (read: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.) to provide public disclosures as to their safety practices, report any significant safety incidents, and remain in line with a set of compliance processes. It also creates a channel for whistleblowers working inside AI labs to safely and securely relay any safety concerns they might have without fear of repercussions.
Whoa this sounds pretty serious. It asks these companies to self report safety incidents and creates a “channel” for whistleblowers.
That’s some serious hammer dropping. 🙄
OpenAI and Anthropic both endorsed the bill as it moved through the legislature
Of course they did because this is just the Democratic version of what Republicans do with regulatory capture. They just like to dress their version up with a facade of “consumer protections” when the law doesn’t actually protect anyone or improve anything.

And the Patriot Act was only implemented to catch terrorists. What’s considered “pornographic content” is entirely subjective and up to the personal feelings of a particular judge.

Well they already have a leg up with the TAKE IT DOWN Act that Democrats worked with Ted Cruz and Trump to get passed.

I don’t think you’re really limited to one or the other. You can pool all your media in the same place and then point different services at it. I don’t listen to my crusty old downloaded music much these days, but, for example, I used to have Plex and Emby running side by side for years to watch movies/TV without issue. These services don’t consume that many resources so you can try multiple options until you find something you like and then remove the rest.
That looks like the Fractal Define 6 case which already has built in soundproofing. I have mine on a desk doing the exact same job with even more drives and I don’t even hear it from a couple feet away.
Edit: actually not a Define 6 after looking closer. Mine doesn’t have those weird latches on the side panels despite otherwise looking identical.
