Some paid for lifetime and enjoy it. Or prefer the layout. Or prefer the easier sharing if data with family and friends.
There are still reasons to run Plex over Jellyfin for some, but not many of they keep going the way they are.

I just built a new rig and was soooo close to going mITX, but I just didn’t want to deal with the cramped build space. And the selection of MoBo’s was abysmal compared to ATX and mATX.
I still always get a bit jelly when I see people do it, as they are clean AF. Good on you!
And as others have said: you’re taking the criticism on the chin like a champ. It’s fun to experiment with weird things and you found something that works for you. That’s all that matters.
Enjoy the weekend!

I’m so looking forward to Fluxer being a good self-hosted alternative to Discord. It seems to be getting closer every day.
Waiting for a pure Docker release where I can just pull, throw in Tailscale and be done.

Proxmox with LXC’s and a few VM’s.
Often with Portainer as well.
It’s just nice to use and easy to automate backups.
I used to run barebone on Debian, but I accepted that I’m not good enough in the terminal and to used to graphical solutions to go back.

I was recommended rEFInd and it’s worked wonders. Never had another boot issue since, and I did like you: physically disconnected all drives except the one I wanted Windows on. Still messed up my boot settings.
Recommend you give it a try if you dare go again.

I physically disconnected all drives to force the EFI partition on the actual Windows drive. It still shat all over boot settings after the first major update.
Someone recommended I try rEFInd and it’s been great. No update has forced me back into the UEFI to set boot order since.
Might be an ASUS MB thing, I never figured it out or bothered afterwards.
Sure, but I’ll use myself as an example: I don’t want any of my services exposed to the internet, so Tailscale/Netbird/other Wireguard solution is the best choice.
Some family members have their TV’s online with no Tailscale or media box, so that solution is out.
Sure I could route all their Jellyfin traffic to my me via an exit node or VPN, but then we’re way deeper into this than my 60-something mother would ever want to. And I am on the hook for both her and my uptime. So phone/tablet/PC only if they don’t want a streaming device with native support.
The built in functionality on Plex is really practical, and practical is good for us creatures of comfort.
So I’m not disagreeing with you, just explaining what edge Plex still has over JF.
(And yes, I could do what you do and run with Cloudflare, but I don’t want to pay for it and I don’t want any traffic via third party I don’t trust)
