Thats fine. We just ignore Omarcy and hold our upstream projects to account if they start trying to implement omacy features.

I dont like Omarcy and DHH but its pretty obvious why hes getting the funding and not other projects. The reason this gets funded and stuff like Gnome and KDE doesnt is because DHH has influence, he isnt a foss purist and he has no bureaucracy holding him back.
No one cares when KDE makes a post trying to drive linux adoption. When DHH does it drives thousands of new linux users. DHH alone can market the distro to new people in a way most foss projects cant.
When a company tries to partner with another project not only do they get very little exposure because the community is small and resistant to advertising but they also often get attacked and purity tested by the users and it generates bad press. When DHH partners with a company his users think its cool and try out the product. It doesnt matter how scummy the company is or if its closed source subscription only.
Investors also see Omachy as something where changes can be made without needing 4 years of arguing with one guy rejecting every change. A fast moving tech focused platform with a good marketer could pull people out of the microsoft apple ecosystem to a place where products can freely compete without entrenched platforms stealing their idea and making their version the default

Relax, this is a lighthearted meme community. Dont be a dickhead.

Its intended behavior from Debian team. because they ships a version of the software at the time and only backport security patches. So if the version they ship has bugs then those bugs stay for years. This generates quite a bit of noise for upstream projects but it is what it is.

Debian and shipping broken packages

If you really cannot live with a 500gb HDD for $30 you can a 500gb SSD for $60 which is still cheap. 2nd hand they’re practically free.
Also its not just league of legends, it also plays Rainbow six siege its really not as bad as you are making it out to be.

I have a PC in my house where the SSD has linux and windows is on the harddrive. It only boots for league of legends and its fine.

Its slightly slower to first load and you’re only using it to play one game which loads into ram anyway. There is no reason not to.

Its not all nefarious. The bad is usually a byproduct of normal business usecase. Here there is little reason to hide ext4 and btrfs support just to spy on a few linux boxes.

Windows cant read ext4 or btrfs so I doubt they care enough to be sneakily trying to identify and read data on another partion.

a 500gb hard drive is like $30 thats nothing.

My armchair diag is that you’re causing your own issues by doing things the wrong way. Disable it via policy not by deleting random files. How could onedrive lock a computer up syncing a file that doesnt even make any sense since it does write it local and sync in the background. It sounds like you were trying to save to a network folder or sharepoint maybe.

Shilly because im not jumping on the baseless criticism train? Seeing linux users act this way makes me embarrassed to be one. To talk so much shit about teams and office being full of issues and hard to maintain is just delusion. If that standard was ever applied to us we’d be cooked.

explorer crashes all the time. I would never act like windows isnt a piece of shit. But we’re not talking about windows here we’re talking about the 365 suite and enterprise suite of services which are pretty easy to say they’re stable and easy to manage.

The only real issues I come across are issues with their new features like intune stuff on mac. The core stuff all work pretty reliably with little to no maintenance and have great documentation. The only complaints I ever see/hear for teams, onedrive and 365 apps are users being dumb or caused by device issues. There are of course microsoft outages (often) but they fix themselves most of the time.

If you think its bullshit that shouldnt be happening open a bug report. Its more than likely a skill issue because office is pretty simple to manage
I do not get why people on distros like Endevour or Cachy say that they use arch. It makes me cringe everytime. Be proud of your distro, they are all good.

The american stock market is purely vibe driven now
They never said it did. Only that a laptop with encrypted drives is where secure boot makes sense. The OS can be as secure as it wants but if the drive isnt encrypted it can be accessed.
