Why would anyone want any of that? And why would you need frame Gen? Our hardware runs circles around the requirements so fast it looks like a blur.

The connector certainly doesn’t help, but if a single point of failure causes this, it’s not JUST the connector. Allowing that much power to be able to run through a single pin is problematic. Houses have multiple forms of protection for outlets. This whole setup seems to have none.
So that what spez looks like. Fuck you spez.

But it’s supposed to be across like 6 pins or something. That’s only 100w a pin. When working properly, there shouldn’t be a problem. All these meltdowns seem to happen when something has gone wrong.

As far as I can tell, the power is meant to be split among many pins, not a single one. I can’t imagine the intent was to pump 22a through a single pin. Other than my dryer, I don’t think I have any cable that’s meant to handle that.

Everyone talks about the power connector but I haven’t been convinced the connector itself is the problem. This article even specifically says that the connector was plugged in all the way. If the hardware and/or firmware doesnt cut off when it detects power problems, that’s the actual problem. The connector may expose the issue, but it’s not the main problem.

Warcraft 4 would be nice. I got so much use out of WC3.

See, I was right to hoard all my old components!!

Then you should use a format and program that’s less cumbersome. Word isn’t Notepad. It’s much more complex.
I don’t even use Word. Wouldn’t even if it opened instantaneously. But I sure as fuck not going to be worked up over something taking a few seconds to open.

12 seconds for a 500-page doc? Are people just that impatient these days? Does everyone have ADHD? People will find anything to complain about.
I played the first one when it came out. Never finished though. Didn’t hold my interest.
I’ve never had to do that and I’ve used plenty of Nvidia cards, assuming we’re talking Windows.

I’m probably in much of the same boat as the author. I never use that search because it’s slow and never really finds what I want. It’s always quicker to get to the file I’m looking for in some other way. Even if that means going to the internet to see where an application stores its files.
I don’t think any of these fixes are going to change my behavior though.
EDIT: I should have mentioned I’m on Windows 10 on my personal computer anyway. So it’s not like I’m getting any fixes anyway. But it also sounds like there isn’t this type of problem on Windows 10 to begin with.
Very apt name.

If that’s true, you definitely need a new PSU. You don’t want to run that close to the upper limit of power. PSUs, like everything, degrade over time. A 10 year old PSU almost certainly can’t maintain max power reliably.
If you want something that’ll last and allow room for expansion, I’d get a 1000W PSU.

I’d much rather it be an all or nothing thing. And nothing is by far the better option, for every reason you stated.
I think I left shortly after things were no longer chronological. It’s been so long I can’t remember what the last straw was. I don’t remember seeing stuff from non-friends though.

Not if your PC doesn’t support some arbitrary requirements. I can’t upgrade because of the TPM requirement. There are ways to get around it. But at the same time Windows 11 isn’t really something I want to upgrade to. It’s got a bunch of crap I don’t need or want. Not that Windows 10 didn’t. Windows 11 is just worse and I’ve drawn a line.
I have to use Windows 11 for work so I know what I’m missing. Nothing. Well, the screenshot button being mapped to the snipping tool is nice. But there is already a shortcut for the snipping tool.
They have standalone computer apps? Why wouldn’t people just use the websites?
