17·21 days agoFWIW Claude seems to be involved in 9 commits
The maintainer alone has made nearly 900 and there are about 100 other contributors
This isn’t a vibe coded project, it’s been running for 2-3 years

6·21 days agoNice, I’ve been using this for a year or two now and it’s become my main ereader server after a lot of time trying to land on one.
Will need to check if there’s finally a way to sync read progress between different versions of the same library item (i.e. PDF & epub). One of my use cases is for storing magazines and being able to read the epub on my phone, but the full PDF on my tablet and have the progress sync properly is a personal holy grail
Depends what you’re trying to do, really
If you’re talking about going in and restarting containers and checking logs, there are tools like Portainer that give a nice UI you can quickly use from your phone
If you’re talking about repetitive tasks, sometimes there’s a tool to automate it already (e.g. updates via watchtower, unattended-upgrades), and if not, you can write a script and possibly run it via a cronjob if that makes sense
If you’re talking about doing new stuff, you either stick with the SSH & shell commands, or you look into IaC tools like ansible as another reply mentioned. Another option is something like Nix where the setup is defined in config, so you make your changes there
I guess I more wondered if some madlad had actually done it
This made me look up if you could somehow run it on vacuum tubes, sadly not
9 day boot time on a 4004!
A good one is saying windows is the best Linux distro because you can just run exes straight from the shell
~/dev/foo $ msbuild.exe MyProject2026UltimatePro.sln | grep Error(s)Try it and confirm there is no god
Part of me wonders what chipset is running that adapter, and if you’d get a better one if you went for a miniSAS adapter rather than individual sata ports (enterprise port generally implying a better controller chip)
Then realised there would probably be no use for such an adapter in enterprise so if you did get a different connector it would probably just be the same interface chip as whatever is in this.

1.2GB of ram to show a few images and numbers is patently insane though
Authentik is great, super versatile, if not a bit of effort to get it set up initially

Holy shit, they automatically activate it on computers without an account to back the key up to?
That’s just malicious

I vaguely remember reading that they have literal ARM cortex chips in some of the most modern case RGB controllers
If we can get to an SPI and connect some kind of display, it’s conceivable that we could run DOOM, right?
