Short lived certificates force sysadmins to automate the renewal process. This prevents expired certificates due to forgetting the manual renewal.

That was already the case with the 90 day ones. No sane person is going to be manually renewing certificates every 3 months.

I think you are underestimating how many people are using ad blockers these days, and from those how many are using uBO. It has been pretty much the default recommendation for many years now for anyone asking the tech savvy person in their family which ad blocker they should use.
