I play the crew motorfest, dirt rally 2, asseto corsa (mods are less finnicky on windows, im swapping), beamng (beammp works on windows, swapping their too), most free and cheap on sale or key games worked otherwise. It was mainly an anticheat issue, the wheel and settings function better with the third party linux app for me for moza.

I dualboot and swap to windows when I want to play iracing or wrc, it takes a minute maybe, on a second drive to avoid issues. 90% of the time I just play somthing linux compatible which includes most sim racing games.

Imo plasma settings/options can be a bit overwhelming, cinnamon can be underwhelming lol, as a former cydia user, I really like toggleable extensions with indidual settings that can be as complex/basic as they need to be.

My main issue with plasma is I cant stop tinkering with my theme/ui because the settings are so easily accesible. I get distracted easily. Gnome with a few curated extensions helps me focus, realized on accident using it because davinci resolve had issues on kde plasma using the global menu (didn’t resolve after removing the menu)

Start looking into desktop environments, everyones quick to suggest distros, but de imo is more what matters day to day, most distros just work and will help you grab the same stuff in different background ways and/or with different terminal commands.

They should all have de options or have community alternatives of them that come with a certain de like kde or gnome.

I had a similar issue, I thought it was different apps because it seemed to coincide with them, turned out its a wider amd kernel issue for me, all the new ones past 6.12.36-2 LTS, I’ve had to reinstall it from cache every update

Were you getting freezes? I’m stuck on an older kernel for stability, same issue on mint and endeavour (arch) tho. My problem isn’t exclusive to cachyos, yours may be tho
