Does it need to be a hardware KVM? or could you use RDP?

2·17 days agoOh, and in the case of the torrent on screen, i just noticed it has no seeders, that would be a problem.

1·17 days agoCould be a VPN issue. I’ve had issues like this that I’ve fixed by changing my exit server. But I’m unsure what the root cause was in those cases.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Can you run multiple servers on one machine (e.g. Raspberry Pi)?English
6·1 month agoI used to have over 20 services running on a Pi4, I wouldn’t suggest running that much, but it’ll work
That is the beauty of the Archiverse.
Except for the fact that I very clearly said there were no features that I found interesting? And also, avoid anti-features doesn’t seem particularly silly to me.
If you or anyone else wants to use cachy, that’s great, but it’s not for me.
Sure, but if that’s a selling point, an advantage as we were discussing, then it’s obviously the wrong distro for me. I’m sure it’s great for others.

82·1 month agoI honestly can’t see a single advantage of Cachy over Endevour, as the performance boosts seem to have no real effect on any if my hardware.

1·1 month agoYeah, version tags work fine. All my containers come from compose, and it follows whatever tags I declared there.

2·1 month agoI used to use watchtower. But then it killed a few services that had pre-update instructions, and I learned my lesson.
It just gives me a GUI to see when a service needs an update, and a button to perform it, then I just backup and read the update notes before I do it.

3·1 month agoDefinitely checkout dockhand. It gives a single dashboard for all your hosts. I primarily use it for updating containers and checking logs, but it does quite a bit more. You can even point it towards your compose files and it can edit them in with a GUI, but I haven’t played with that yet.

homeassistant@lemmy.world•Pine64 has started shipping their smart speaker!English
31·4 months agoIt makes total sense for Pine64, it’s worth looking into how the company operates before passing judgment.
In that case, unless you’re willing to plug some excessively shady AliExpress hardware into your system, I’d say something like a comet, JetKVM, or PiKVM is your best bet, and all those will set you back around $100.
